What do you believe is the biggest issue facing young people currently?Young people face some of the greatest pressures from society. I think that the biggest issue though is bullying because we know that bullying affects practically every person at some stage in their life and can have some of the most catastrophic consequences.
Why did you join Safe Havens?I could see the gap in provision at my school and knew that I had a duty and responsibility to fill that gap; Safe Havens was the answer.
What are you hoping to achieve from your involvement in Safe Havens? To leave a legacy of inspiration and empowerment to ensure that Safe Havens continues to advance and expand to help us "work together to make life better for young people now"! I'm sure its future is in good hands!
Where do you see Safe Havens in ten years timeEverywhere! Safe Havens changes so much in a single week, so in ten years time it's just impossible to imagine! If it continues to grow, develop and flourish at its current rate I see it as a successful national project with strong Government support.
If Safe Havens could do anything, without any barriers, what should it doLots of things! One of our key priorities currently is to secure funding to employ a member of staff specifically to support the project. Also, we're working towards having a working space in the Town Centre to improve communication between Units! I have lots of ambitions for Safe Havens, but as I keep getting reminded "walk before you run"!

What do you believe is the biggest issue facing young people currently?I think the top ones for me would be; Bullying and Peer Pressure. It can be a tough time if you are being bullied, and everyone has their own way of dealing with it. You also want to look "cool" infront of your peers that could be pressuring you and this can lead to doing things young people may not be comfotable in doing.
Why did you join Safe Havens? When i was getting bullied i didnt have the help and support that young people have avalible to them now, also i wanted to learn some new skill for when i'm older.
What are you hoping to achieve from your involvement in Safe Havens?I am hoping to gain many skills that I would use in every day life such as, social skills. I believe it is important that young people should gain this skill when they are younger so they can put it into practice when they are older. Like getting a new job for example.
Where do you see Safe Havens in ten years timeI would like to see a safe havens group in every school and maybe make it compulsory so young people can get support from whichever school they go to and feel alot safer knowing someones there to help.
If Safe Havens could do anything, without any barriers, what should it doThe possibilities would be endless! I would ensure that my unit has always got everything that is needed for my Team Members and all the young people who access the service for support. I would arrange more training residentials for all Team Members every year without having to worry about money and I would also make sure that they are jam packed with fun ways of learning (not like they arn't already).

What do you believe is the biggest issue facing young people currently? It might seem typical of a young person who works with an organisation that does a lot of anti-bulliyng work, but I honestly think bullying continues to be the biggest issue facing young people. Young people continue to have deal with problems mentally, emotionally and physically which are unjustified and that makes them feel uncomfortable in themselves. Also, been bullied can lead to futher problems such as eating disorders and bullying other people- which is just as damaging to someone as a person as been bullied is.
Why did you join Safe Havens? To be honest, the reason I got involved in Safe Havens was kind of a mistake, I just happened to be in the same room as the first Safe Havens meeting. But the reason I continue with it is it allows me to make a difference in a lot of young people's lives and more selfishly, it continues to challenge me.
What are you hoping to achieve from your involvement in Safe Havens?I think my main priority now is ensuring that Safe Havens continues in the future- we continue to face problems financially and in terms of the future leaders of Safe Havens. Don't get me wrong I think we will eventually resolve these problems and are in the process of doing them now, but I think it's going to be difficult.
Where do you see Safe Havens in ten years timeI think in ten years time we should be working in, and have the appropriate structures to be operating in atleast one other borough. I think also it'd be nice if we were a registered charity not only for finacial reasons but I think it almost gives us as organisation the credit we deserve.
If Safe Havens could do anything, without any barriers, what should it doBe in place in all schools so that young people can get support no matter where they are.
